DayStrong Rubber Products, LLC.
DayStrong Rubber Products, LLC was established in 2008 by former managers of Oerlikon Textiles and A. B. Carter Incorporated located in Gastonia, North Carolina.
DayStrong purchased the vulcanized roll, Superba® roll recovering and ribbon roll covering product lines from Oerlikon Accotex Textiles. DayStrong’s goal is to
continue to provide to you, the customer, the service, quality and dedication to excellence set forth by the companies that originally developed and manufactured
these products; Dayco, Day International and Armstrong World Industries.
DayStrong’s primary roll application is the vulcanization of rolls used on Superba® heat set machines for the carpet industry. Dayco (a predecessor of Day International) first produced these vulcanized rolls in Waynesville, NC in the 1970’s. In addition to the Superba roll DayStrong offers vulcanized roll coverings for the paper, pulp, textile, film and chemical industries.
The ribbon roll covering products are made of PVC, rubber and blends of cork and rubber to provide friction on steel rolls used to transport textiles, paper, film and other products. The cork rubber material is used extensively in gasket applications in many industries. Armstrong World Industries developed this product line in the 1960s.
DayStrong manufactures and is based in the same facility in Mauldin, SC where many of our products were first manufactured in 1968. DayStrong is a small company with 15 full time and 2 part time associates.
We are fortunate that our associates have many years of experience and take personal responsibility for developing and improving our manufacturing and customer service processes. DayStrong’s size and experienced associates gives us the ability to respond rapidly to our customer’s needs and to provide products and services outside the box in a precise and timely manner.
